Volunteers Beautify Trinidad Head Start
Volunteers from the Meredith Publishing Company recently planted trees and flowers, constructed a vegetable garden and painted LSSI’s Trinidad Head Start site in Humboldt Park. The project was facilitated by Rebuilding Together, a non-profit organization. The site’s playground equipment and outdoor tables and benches were funded by the Kohls Cares for Kids Foundation in fall 2009.

The cuts include lower state funding for community-based programs and services for people with developmental disabilities, addictions and chronic mental illness.
